Elegant DIY Centerpiece

When I first started thinking about what I might like (or not like) for wedding decorations, I decided that I wanted candles for our centerpieces. I know that I definitely don’t want fresh/live flowers… and I love candles… but I started looking around at Once Wed and…

How cute is this?

This is such a lovely centerpiece that you can even use at your dining table at home (or something else not wedding related). It looks so delicate; it’s hard to believe it’s not that expensive to create! Check out the DIY instructions!

Have you come across any projects that almost make you re-think some of your decor decisions?

Project: Wedding

The year 2009 is coming to a close in less than 48 hours. This year has been full of great experiences, memories, and changes. Last February, my then-boyfriend-now-fiancĂ© popped the question. I immediately felt the need to start planning our wedding. On our way home, I made my fiancĂ© stop at the grocery store and bought one or two (or three or four) wedding magazines. It wasn’t long before I started to realize the amount of work it takes to pull off a wedding! Decorations, flowers, theme, venue, music, food, cake, dresses, favors, the list goes on and on…

To keep my sanity in check, I had been toying with the idea of creating a blog, as an outlet to blow off wedding-and-life-related-steam (and to practice my writing a bit more frequently). I wanted a way to chronicle the planning of my wedding, to pen my experiences (even if it’s on digital paper) so I could come back and read them. And, who knows, maybe something here might be of help to a newly engaged girl who, like me, is dreaming up that special day and working to make it a reality.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy with me this roller-coaster drive that leads down the aisle!

This is my Project: Wedding!
